The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) will participate in the workshop “AI and Robotics in Construction: From Perception to Action” at the European Robotics Forum (ERF) 2026, taking place on 24 March 2026 in Stavanger, Norway, from 14:00 to 15:20 in Lysefjorden B.

During the session, David Caballero Flores, representing UPC, will present the DISCOVER project, highlighting how robotics and artificial intelligence can support more efficient, intelligent, and sustainable practices in the construction sector.

The workshop is organised in collaboration with several EU-funded projects that are part of the Tech4EU cluster, a group of Horizon Europe initiatives advancing robotics and digital technologies for the construction sector. Alongside DISCOVER, the projects BEEYONDERS, XSCAVE, ShieldBot and ROBÉTARMÉ will present their latest developments, showcasing innovative approaches that integrate AI, robotics, and automation in construction processes.

UPC’s participation in ERF 2026 reflects its strong commitment to advancing the digitalisation of the construction sector and contributing to collaborative European research for a more sustainable built environment.
