We are pleased to share that the DISCOVER project will be showcased at the upcoming European Builders Confederation workshop, titled “Towards More Circularity in Construction: A Collaborative Approach from EU-Funded Research Projects.” The event will take place on 9 December 2025, from 09:30 to 13:00 (CET), at the EBC premises located at Rue Jacques de Lalaing 4, 1040 Brussels (1st floor).

This workshop will bring together EU policymakers, researchers, and construction sector stakeholders to discuss how innovative materials, digitalisation, and reuse strategies can accelerate the transition to a circular and resource-efficient built environment in Europe.
Organized in collaboration with three Horizon Europe projects — BIO4EEB, SUM4Re, and DISCOVER — the event will showcase practical solutions and research outcomes covering key stages of the construction lifecycle:
- BIO4EEB – Bio-based insulation materials for sustainable buildings
- SUM4Re – Data-driven acquisition & urban mining to build material banks
- DISCOVER – Advanced reuse strategies supported by digital twins
Moreover, we are honored to welcome Mr. François Wakenhut, Head of Unit for Circular Economy and Secondary Raw Materials at the European Commission (DG ENV), who will deliver a keynote address.
