In April 2026, the DISCOVER project was presented by PEDMEDE’s President Mr. Konstantinos Gkoliopoulos, during PEDMEDE’s General Assembly in Greece, reaching construction companies, contractors, and sector representatives from across the country.

This year’s presentation focused on the relevance of DISCOVER for the Greek construction sector, where renovation, reconstruction, infrastructure works, and the management of construction and demolition waste are key challenges. In this context, circular approaches to deconstruction and material recovery can support a more efficient use of resources and create new opportunities for construction companies.

PEDMEDE highlighted how DISCOVER’s digital and robotic solutions can contribute to more sustainable deconstruction, improved material identification, and greater reuse of valuable construction materials.

The event strengthened further awareness of DISCOVER among Greek construction stakeholders and encouraged further dialogue on how circular economy practices can be applied in real construction and demolition activities in Greece.
